Ben is a self taught artist who began his career with a self published book of short stories called “Husk” (2005). These days Ben has immersed himself in the tattoo medium specializing in black & gray portraiture. Ben served his formal apprenticeship in Cambridge & now works full-time at Art & Soul Tattoo. Ben’s influences range and vary: Andrew Wyeth, Caravaggio, John James Aedobon and Robert Crumb. Not until recently have other tattoo artists really made a big impression on Ben. Some of them include; Russ Abbott, Derek Noble, Scotty Munster, Adrien Eideck, Kelly Dotty, Travis McGreggor and Virginia Elwood.
